The Adopt-A-Classroom program gives $500 grants to teachers in the Harrisburg Area for special projects within their classrooms and schools. We have supported projects such as a garden club, classroom technology upgrades, and a gaming club for our students! Your contribution will make an impact—whether you donate $5 or $500. The YPOC supported 15 classrooms last year, and this year we would like to support 20! Every little bit helps. Thank you in advance for your support!
Our Mission
To create community for the black and brown professional collective in the Greater Harrisburg Area, and to empower professionals of color to identify what they need to thrive within the community.
We have been able to give back through our Adopt-A-Classroom campaign and by showing up and offering our support to many local and small businesses in Harrisburg!
Between our Adopt-A-Classroom fundraising events and other donations, we have raised over $30 thousand dollars!
We celebrate our 4 year anniversary on July 20th this year, as YPOC continues to grow larger and reach more people.
In our first three years we have been able to adopt 27 classrooms in the Harrisburg School District. This year you helped us raise the money for 20 classrooms!

Are you interested in giving back? Would you like to influence the future of the youth of Harrisburg? Come be a volunteer for the YPOC's Adopt-A-Classroom program! We need volunteers! Come have fun with the kids!!
Enjoy drinks and catch up with your friends in the area on the last Thursday of every month at 5pm! The food and space is legit, and we have our own bartender! We can’t wait to hang out with you!
Every 3rd Saturday of each month we gather at District Bar and Lounge to enjoy their brunch menu, socialize, and play board games from 12pm-4pm. We have a broad selection, but everyone is welcome to bring their favorite games and win some prizes!
Not only do we have these events and more to call our own, but we also love to gather and support other programs in the area. Whether it's an informative seminar, concert, or a mixing event, you might see YPOC there!
